Rebecca Brooks

Becky qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1993 and worked in mixed practice for a number of years. She became a partner in a practice in the north of England in 1999 where she also became first involved with Veterinary Nurse training.

She moved to Lincolnshire in 2004 and continued her career in mixed practice and in 2011 she undertook training in Veterinary Physiotherapy.  This led her on to taking her teaching qualifications and eventually lecturing at Nottingham University School of Veterinary Medicine.  There she enjoyed teaching students Canine and Equine Veterinary Physiotherapy until 2018.

She returned back to clinical practice  in 2021 and has been actively involved in the RCVS  Graduate Development Programme for a significant number of recently qualified veterinary surgeons.

Becky is back lecturing again at RVNC and has written our VTECH Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing(Companion Animal) course.  She is responsible for the day to day running of the college and is the student point of contact.

Becky has a young family and enjoys spending her spare time on her farm with her sheep and Exmoor ponies.

Amy Howland

I began my career in mixed practice in 2003 and qualified as an RVN in 2007. My experience has primarily been in small animal practice, with a particular focus on feline nursing, anaesthesia, and analgesia. In 2008, I qualified as an A1 Assessor and later as a Clinical Coach, supporting numerous nurses through their SVN training. I also hold SQP status and additional qualifications, including EAT, IQA and IAG.

Since 2021, I have worked in veterinary nursing education. In my free time, I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education. At home, I enjoy the company of my husband, son, stepdaughter, three dogs, three cats, a corn snake, and more horses than is probably healthy!

Sapphire Bloom

Sapphire began her career in a small animal practice and became a qualified  RVN in 2018. Before training, she obtained a degree in equine sports therapy and rehabilitation in which she has a business named SB Equine Therapy.  Sapphire particularly enjoys emergency care and picks these shifts up to stay current in practice. She gained qualification as an IQA in 2023 and enjoys all aspects of supporting students and clinical supervisors alike.

In her free time, she loves being around her horses at home with her partner, 2 children, dogs, cats, chickens and guineas!

Hannah Bayliss

Hannah is an RVN (registered veterinary nurse) and has worked in practice as both a nurse and clinical supervisor before transferring over to college. Hannah has been qualified as an RVN since 2023 having studied at Harper Adams University.  She’s a lecturer, assessor and internal quality assurer for Rase Veterinary Nursing College. Hannah has a particular interest in inpatient care and also loves helping with OSCE practice and tutoring and is available to assist learners as much as she can. Outside of work, Hannah loves music and gaming and enjoys the company of her blue tongued skink Fluffy.

Eleanor Norfolk
