We commemorated VE Day with a window display here at RVNC which included candles lit for peace and remembrance as part of the Town Candlelight Vigil held in the market square where we are based.

The window display included the story of the grandfather of our Head of centre, a local man who served as an aircraft engineer in the RAF from spring 1939 till the end of the war at various RAF bases including Scampton, Finningley and Gamston and overseas in Burma, North Africa and Canada.

We also shared the story of the animal heroes of WWII via the blog from Eden Camp https://edencamp.co.uk/blog/the-unsung-heroes-of-world-war-ii-animals-in-service/
