When mixed with pure pigment, it produces a soft water soluble paste, with a honey like consistency. If the watercolour paint is too thick, this finished medium can be used as a thinner. It will also preserve the transparency and gloss of the watercolours. Dilute it with water to dilute the binder (max 5 10% water).
